Giving Back - Supporting our Community

The New River Valley is the community we call home, in most cases, for both our professional & personal lives. It is important to the NRVHBA to give back. In fact, it is our part of our mission. When you support one of our events, we are able to share pass that support through activities, events & Organizations like these:

This year's scholarship recipent is Landon Bell of Christiansburg

This year, we are proud to announce Landon Bell, of Christiansburg, as the Rick Whitney Memorial Scholarship recipient. Though we received many outstanding applications, in the end, we choose the student whom we believe will impact the building industry here within the NRV.

As a child, Landon discovered a love of seeing things develop. It was this love which has lead him to pursue a degree of Building Construction with a concertation on management. To further his knowledge of the industry, Landon will also seek a real state minor which will help him sustain a career.

Landon Bell is a fabulous example of a student and future building industry member we would be proud to have in the NRV. He already values the NRVHBA Codes of Ethics and we look forward to watching him grow and meet his personal life goals.
