Giving Back - Supporting our Community

The New River Valley is the community we call home, in most cases, for both our professional & personal lives. It is important to the NRVHBA to give back. In fact, it is our part of our mission. When you support one of our events, we are able to share pass that support through activities, events & Organizations like these:

  • Scholarships for NRV High School Students who are pursuing a college education in the construction industry at Virginia’s Colleges, Trade Schools and within Working Internships. To learn more, Visit us at http://www.nrvhba.com/about-nrvhba/scholarship for more information on the NRVHBA Rick Whitney Memorial Scholarship.
  • The “Cook Your Heart Out” Charity Cooking Contest where 3 local Non-Profits battle it out, “Chopped” style, for $1000 grand prize during the Home Expo. Contestants are judged on appearance, creativity, and taste when using 2 “secret” ingredients per appetizer, main course and dessert round.
